Stress
Perhaps you are successful both in your professional and personal life but every day feels like a blur. You are realizing that you are getting through your days successfully, however, you feel disconnected, irritable, and not truly present. People may be surprised to know that you feel like you're on the brink of a meltdown because you've adopted the "fake it until you make it" motto, and you're really good at faking it.
The past few years have really tested our stress coping strategies. Even people who typically manage stress well have been challenged in ways they didn't expect. Some people are only now feeling the effects of having to adapt and adjust to so many things. If you often find yourself thinking things like:
-"I am managing but if one more thing gets thrown at me, I'll crumble"
-"I shouldn't ask for help, there are people in situations much worse than mine that really need it"
-"I feel like I'm drowning, why doesn't anyone ask me how I'm doing?"
-"I'm so exhausted from trying to get through each day that I have nothing left for anyone, especially myself"
